Evidence:
The Creator Wrote Our Bible
My favorite book to read is and always has been the Bible. I
have read it ever since I was a young Man. Every time I read the Bible I always
find many verses that I have read before but now take on new meanings in my
life.
Many years back as I was reading the Bible I thought that as
in any great book there must be a way to tie the author to the book. Every
great author leaves subtle clues behind. Some people call this “the writers’
style”. It’s a style the writer uses in his writings that sets his books apart
from anyone else. Just like our signatures differ from all other signatures.
Even though the Bible was written by sixty six different authors, all the
authors were lead by the same Holy Spirit and so the spirit of God must also
have a detectable pattern.
In early 2001 I set out to find just what this pattern was
that ties the “Maker of the Universe” to this little Planet of ours called
Earth. I studied the Bible for many years and could not come up with any definitive
proof that the Maker of our Planet is the same Maker that wrote the Bible. I
knew that if our Creator did indeed write our Bible that there would have to be
subtle evidence left behind.
One day after praying it came to me that I was doing the puzzle
backwards. Instead of tying the Maker to the Planet, I needed to try tying the
Planet to the Maker. That’s when I found the answer staring me in the face.
The answer is “TIME”. Time is what ties us to the Maker. As
I looked at my watch to see what time it was, I noticed my watch was numbered
one to twelve.
Twelve hours of day, Twelve hours of night, Twelve months in
a year, Twenty four hours in a day. Twelve months in a year. This shows that
the Maker of the Earth has a favorite number of twelve.
Twelve apostles, twelve tribes of Israel, twenty four
thrones in heaven, twelve gates in heaven with twelve angels, one at each gate,
twelve thousand saved from each of the twelve tribes of Israel. The New
Jerusalem that God brings down from heaven measures twelve thousand furlongs
cubed. During the one thousand year reign of Jesus Christ on Earth there will
be the “tree of life” that bears twelve different fruits, one fruit for each
month of the year.
This is just some of
the times that God uses the number twelve in the Bible. According to my
concordance in my Bible the number twelve is used 187 times. This evidence shows
that the God in the Bible also has a favorite number of twelve.
What I found by using simple detective procedures is the
same conclusion I believe you will find. I believe the conclusion is over
whelming, leaving us with no doubt. All evidence points to the conclusion that
the Spirit that wrote the Bible also created our Universe, including our Planet
Earth. Who is this Creator? According to the Bible the Creator is Jesus Christ
of the New Testament.
Genesis 1:1
[ The History of Creation
] In the beginning God created the heavens and the
earth
John 1-3
New King James Version (NKJV)
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word
was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and
without Him nothing was made that was made.
I have heard it said that “the Bible can’t be trusted
because it has been re-written too many times.” All evidence shows us that just
the opposite is true. With the discovery of the “Dead Sea Scrolls” it shows
that the Jewish scribes were extremely accurate in transcribing their religious
scrolls with no differences.
Now it is true that there are a lot of bad Bible
translations that are on the market today however it doesn’t take a lot of
study to discover that there also are many good accurate translations
available. I recommend the “New King James Version” because it is translated
from the “King James Version” which has been proven for accuracy and also
written in easy to understand “new English”.
I also believe that if God is going to hold anybody
accountable for their sins. He must also have His word available to all of us
to know what his will is. I also believe that God is certainly able to protect
his word.
